Deepin v20 | The Most Attractive Linux Desktop
Deepin has just released the final version of their beautifully polished distribution after what felt like a rather long time in beta. It’s available for download on the Deepin website and the ISO weighs in at around about 2.5GB in size. Installation is quick and easy and should be up and running on most machines in under 10 minutes.
Some of the new features that have made it into this new releasw include ;
- A new visual redesign
- Underlying repository upgraded to Debian 10.5
- Dual kernel support of 5.4 and 5.7
- Optimised fingerprint recognition

Some of these applications include Deepin Movies, Deepin Music and Deepin Album. My favourite of their applicatioms is their screen capture tool which will enable you to effortlessly capture portions of your screen with still or moving images.
Something that surprised me throughout my review of Deepin was just how well it performed while being light on system resources. For all the visual eye candy and effects the desktop was consuming under 600MB of RAM at boot! CPU usage is also impressive staying low without any dramatic spikes while making my way through the desktop.
All in all I’m very impressed with this release of Deepin 20. What do you think of this Deepin release? Let me know in the comments below!
