Ubuntu have very recently just released their latest point release to their desktop distribution and all their various flavours bringing us to version 20.04.1. Among all those flavours is Ubuntu Kylin. This flavour is intended primarily for the Chinese market but you can select to English in the installer and you’re good to go.
The desktop Kylin uses is called UKUI which is developed with GTK and Qt. UKUI is now version 3.0 and to avoid beating around the bush it is absolutely beautiful. It feels like a combination of Windows 10 and Deepin. It features very nice transparent effect including blue and there is rounded corners everywhere! There are still little quirks here and there that need to be ironed out but aesthetically speaking it’s a very well polished desktop environment. What do you think of Ubuntu Kylin?
