Kubuntu 20.04 | Setting Up and First Impressions

I’m coming towards the end of my first looks at the beta versions of Ubuntu 20.04 and it’s flavours. Next up we have Kubuntu which now ships with KDE version 5.18 which has been developed to feel ‘smoother to use while retaining the familiar setup’.  KDE apps have also been updated to 19.12.3. If you would like to rest of the release notes for this beta release click here. In the video below I go through the installation process and have a quick run through of the desktop and set it up for my general use.
Overall another exciting release that I’ll take a deeper look at around the time of final release which is looking to be on the 23rd of April 2020.
Spread the love

Is the system pretty stable? Have you discovered any bugs? Would you want to wait for a full release?

It's fairly stable as far as beta releases go as it's not far off final release. I'm running a a beta Ubuntu on my main computer and it's been fine. If you have good practice in backups etc just incase something does go wrong you should be all good!
