Unleash your Chromebook With GalliumOS
These days there are plenty of ways to use Linux on a Chromebook. You can install an environment via crouton or use Chrome OS’s inbuilt support for Linux applications currently in beta. While these methods are absolutely fine and will get you up and running quickly nothing quite beats having an isolated operating system running from it’s own partition or storage device. Which is why I have decided to ditch crouton in favour of Gallium OS. The installation process using chrx was super easy and can be followed step by step here.
