Clear Linux First Impressions

Intel’s Linux distribution, Clear Linux OS has been getting a lot of attention as of late for it’s ability to completely outperform other distributions in nearly every benchmark thrown at it. You can check out some of those benchmarks over at Phoronix. After reading about how well it performs I couldn’t help myself but take a look.
I installed Clear Linux to an Intel based laptop to see just how much better performing my hardware could be under Clear Linux. It ships with the GNOME desktop environment, uses swupd package manager and integrates Flatpaks in the Software store. You can watch my first impressions video below, I am very impressed with Clear Linux and will be keeping an eye on it’s development
