Nitrux 1.3.2 | The Best Looking KDE Distro

I’ve long been a fan of the Ubuntu based distribution, Nitrux. They recently released their latest version bringing us up to version 1.3.2. One of the key changes in this version is dropping systemd and adopting OpenRC. So I couldn’t wait to download the ISO that weighed in at around 3.2GB and have a little poke around. One thing that I was instantly impressed by was just how fast the installation process was. We’re talking fully installed in under 3 minutes!

Once the installation had complete I was planted at the desktop which hasn’t lost it’s charm. Nitrux has managed to pull of what I would consider to be one of the most polished and well thought out KDE implementations in the whole distroverse. The icons and themes are beautiful and and nothing looks out of place. It has a decent selection of applications installed out of the box including Firefox, GIMP and Kdenlive and features a collection of MauiKit applications. If you haven’t tried it yourself I strongly recommend you read the changelog and take it for a spin!

What do you think of Nitrux? Let me know in the comments below!
